On completion of the module students should be able to:
1. Evaluate the continuing evolution of human rights knowledge and assess the contribution of social justice movements to that evolution.
2. Understand and appraise the role of non-governmental human rights organisations and national human rights institutions in advancing the protection of human rights.
3. Critically reflect on concepts associated with human rights such as dignity, freedom, and equality.
4. Communicate their knowledge and understanding of human rights and social justice to various audiences
