Music Soc @ Freshers Week 2011

20.09.11 We are having an awesome time at Freshers Week this year. We've had some really interesting people sign up with some great ideas and questions, so keep it coming folks! Our Freshers Events kick off tomorrow (Wednesday 21st) with a very special lunchtime performance from our newly established Javanese Gamelan Ensemble at 1pm in the Global Lounge (underneath the Restaurant Building). New members can also drop by our Medieval Music Workshop on Thursday 22nd from 3.30-5pm in the Blue Room upstairs in the Student Centre, a great chance to learn how to perform some medieval vocal repertoire. Then come along to Freshers Open Mic from 7-9pm in the Global Lounge for some free wine and a chance to sing and play some music - or you can just watch! Finishing off the week on Friday 23rd is our Freshers Gig at Captain America's Grafton St from 8pm - enjoy 2-for-1 main courses when you present your Music Society membership card along with your UCD Student Card and listen to some society bands. Thanks to all those that have joined up so far, and hope to meet as many of you as possible at our next few events!
