Niteline is a confidential and anonymous listening service that is run by and for the students of DCU, NCAD, RCSI, TCD and their affiliate colleges.

There are four cornerstones of Niteline. We are:

 

Confidential: The contents of a call remain strictly between the caller and the volunteer they speak with.

Anonymous: Because they are students of the colleges that they serve, volunteers cannot ever be identified with Niteline. They cannot tell their friends and cannot put it on their CV.

Non-judgmental: Volunteers are completely objective to all calls. They listen without giving their opinions on any subject.

Non-directive: Niteline volunteers do not provide advice or give direction. They simply listen and help the caller work through their issues themselves.
