Once you hear "Hello, Niteline..." you know that the volunteer at the end of the line will listen to anything you want to say.
Niteline gives you the time and space to talk through whatever is on your mind.
Some people talk about many different things, some people talk about nothing, some people don't talk at all. Everything that is said within a call remains confidential.
We don't have all the answers but we can give details of relevant professional advice sources to help you if you need them.
We also get chat calls, where people ring us up because they are feeling a bit lonely or bored and fancy someone to talk to and there's no one around at the time. Remember, you can call about anything.
As fellow students, we understand that university is a time of many changes and challenges and being able to talk to someone can and does make a difference. We won't judge and we won't tell you what to do, but no matter what you want to talk about we are always here.
