Darren Carroll - Erasmus Exchange in Malta
I’m a mature general student nurse. I went to Malta as part of the Erasmus student exchange programme. At first I was a little apprehensive but everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The facilities in the Mater Dei Hospital Malta were state of the art. I spent the first four weeks in theatre and the surgeons, doctors, nurses.....in fact the whole multidisplinary team were fantastic and included me in everything. I made lots of new Malttese friends and even learnt a little Malteese. I would recommend this experience to everyone. I even had time to soak up the sun and spent many a day lying by the pool, making the most of the Malttese social scene!
