Karen Graham and Annabel Murphy - Erasmus Exchange in Denmark
We both decided to take part in the Erasmus programme as we saw it as an opportunity to travel and learn more about nursing in another country. We chose Denmark as we had both heard about its reputation for a quality and efficient health system. Now that we have reached the end of our time here in Copenhagen we can both say that it has been a wonderful experience and we will go home having learnt so much and also having met so many interesting people.
Denmark was a great country to be placed and Copenhagen especially as it has a rich culture with a young and an exciting social scene. It is also located just north of central Europe and so during our time off we could take advantage of travelling to other countries close by in Scandinavia and elsewhere. We were lucky to experience Denmark in the depth of winter and through spring into summer. We feel very fortunate to have taken part in such a worthwhile experience and would definitely recommend it to other students.
