The University and School offer a number of awards to students on entrance and throughout their academic studies.
Student Scholarships
- The University grants a large number of Entrance Scholarship Awards to first year students based on their performance in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) examination.
- University Scholarships in Nursing and Midwifery may be awarded each year to continuing undergraduate Degree students based on examination results in Stages 1, 2 and 3.
Other Prizes available to Undergraduate Students:
Dr Judith Chavasse Medal
This prize may be awarded to the student who receives the highest grade in NURS 30970 Evidence Based Practice for Healthcare on Stage 4 of the BSc(Nursing) and BSc(Midwifery) undergraduate programmes.
Dr Marie Carney Medal
This medal may be awarded to the student who receives the highest grade in NURS30290 Management and Quality Improvement on the BSc(Nursing) and BSc(Midwifery) programmes.
UCD Nursing Medal
This medal may be awarded to the student who receives the highest GPA on Stage 3 of the BSc(Nursing) Integrated Children’s and General Programme.
