Biography:
| Frances Howlin has been a lecturer in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems in UCD since August 2006. She teaches across a number of programmes within the school. Her speciality area is Children's Nursing. |
Research Interests
| Research interests include advocacy in children's nursing and preparation of children for hospitalisation and surgery. Frances completed her Masters in Science in Nursing at University of Dublin Trinity College in June 2005. Her Thesis incorporated Hermeneutic Phenomenology and explored registered Children's Nurses experiences of advocacy. Research Projects Title: Randomised Control Trial of Supported Socialisation for People with Serious Mental Illness. Main Researcher: Dr Ann Sheridan. Sponsor: Health Research Board; Start Date: September 2007. |
