
The role of the children’s & general nurse is to foster the health and wellbeing of individuals across the lifespan, taking into account their physical, psychological, emotional, social and spiritual needs. On successful completion of this degree, you can practice as either a children’s nurse or as a general nurse. The role of the nurse extends beyond clinical practice to encompass education, research and management. The majority of clinical learning takes place in our affiliated partner hospitals: Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and St Vincents University Hospital.
