First Year Orientation
The UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery & Health Systems First Year Orientation runs over two days at the begining of September. Its primary aim is to introduce incoming students to the School and the wider University. As part of the orientation students are introduced to the programme structures (Clinical and Academic) by the schools academics. It is also an oppurtunity for students to meet with their designated personal tutor, peer mentors, and the clinical allocations office. We also provide drop-in clinics for Occupational Health, and Garda clearance. The orientation also incorporates tours of the University campus, the health sciences library and the clinical skills laboratories.
