Master Class 1: Open Innovation: Best Practices

Date: Wednesday, 4 April 2012

Time: 9:30 am – 11:30 am

Overview: In this master class Professor Tucci will explore how firms can use both external and internal ideas to develop new products and services, or build new business. In the current economic crisis, companies cannot afford to rely solely on their own internal research, so Professor Tucci will look at the best ways to exchange expertise outside your company. The master class provides an opportunity for Professor Tucci to share his expertise with the attendees and for the attendees to discuss issues around open innovation with each other.

Master Class 2: Design Thinking and Innovation the IDEO Way

Date: Wednesday, 4 April 2012

Time: 2 pm – 4 pm

Overview: IDEO helps design products, services, environments, and digital experiences for some of the world’s most innovative and successful companies. In this master class Professor Tucci will look at the methods IDEO use to help companies develop new products and flourish in the current economic climate. The master class provides an opportunity for Professor Tucci to share his expertise with the attendees and for the attendees to discuss issues around design thinking and the IDEO way with each other.

Master Class 3: Exploiting Web 2.0 to Boost Innovation

Date: Thursday, 5 April 2012

Time: 9:15 am – 11:15 am

Overview: Web 2.0 provides users with an opportunity to interact with each other in a virtual community and this has the potential to fundamentally change the way businesses work. In this master class Professor Tucci will discuss how local businesses can reach a wider audience using Web 2.0 and how they can engage with their customers and colleagues in innovative ways to increase productivity. The master class provides an opportunity for Professor Tucci to share his expertise with the attendees and for the attendees to discuss issues around Web 2.0 with each other.
