Southside high-tech entrepreneurs targets by NovaUCD

As part of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Enterprise Week, NovaUCD, the Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre at UCD is hosting an open day on Tuesday, January 29th. NovaUCD is responsible for the commercialisation of intellectual property arising from UCD research and for the development of co-operation with industry and business. NovaUCD as a purpose-built centre also nurtures new technology and knowledge-intensive enterprises.

The aim of the NovaUCD open day is to give budding high-tech entrepreneurs a chance to drop-in to visit the NovaUCD facility alongside the Belfield campus on Fosters Avenue and to discover the services and facilities available to entrepreneurs.

The NovaUCD open day will consist of a series of talks, facility tours along with an opportunity to meet with and talk to members of NovaUCD’s successful community of entrepreneurs and to experience technology demonstrations.

The NovaUCD open day forms part of the forthcoming Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Enterprise Week which runs from January 28th until January 31st. The Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Enterprise Week features a series of county-wide activities designed to support the ambitions of aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The overall objective of the NovaUCD open day is to inform the promoters of knowledge-intensive enterprises of the unique services and facilities available at NovaUCD, to attract potential clients and to raise the general awareness of NovaUCD in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown county.
