voucherpages.ie Launches Free iPhone App

App to Help Consumers Save Money as they Shop Around Ireland

voucherpages.ie today announced the launch of its free iPhone App to help consumers save money as they shop. The voucherpages.ie App enables shoppers to access a huge range of discounts from hundreds of businesses around Ireland.

According to a recent National Consumer Agency Report, 85% of consumers shop around when purchasing goods and services, and price is the leading influencing factor in determining where they shop.

voucherpages.ie, which went live last July, is Ireland’s leading discount voucher directory. It offers consumers the largest choice of discount vouchers, coupons and deals for a variety of products and services from companies across Ireland.

The new voucherpages.ie iPhone App picks up a user’s current location and displays discount vouchers available for all types of goods and services around the consumer’s immediate vicinity. The App also allows consumers to filter discounts by the type of product or service, enabling them to see relevant local deals for what they actually want to purchase.

The discount vouchers can then be redeemed by purchasing in-store in the normal way by simply displaying the relevant mobile voucher when paying. All redemptions are automatically tracked to measure the number of customers won for local businesses across Ireland.

voucherpages.ie, which recently located to NovaUCD, the Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre, was established by Ronan Hickey in 2011. Ronan has extensive commercial experience covering product management, business development and marketing, and has previously worked for Truvo Ireland Ltd and Vodafone. He is a University College Dublin graduate holding BComm and MBS (Marketing Management) degrees.

Announcing the launch of the free iPhone App Ronan Hickey, founder of voucherpages.ie said, “voucherpages.ie gives consumers the power to browse offers for what they actually want to purchase, when they want to purchase. Our website, which went live last July, is experiencing visitor traffic growth of over 50% per month.” He added, “We expect large numbers of consumers to download our free iPhone App due to the great money-saving benefits it offers consumers in their local area along with its user-friendly nature and the option to still purchase in-store.” He concluded, “We plan to launch an Android app version in the coming months.”

voucherpages.ie has to date received funding and support from the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Enterprise Board.

The voucherpages.ieiPhone App is available to download for free from the App store.Consumers without an iPhone can visit www.voucherpages.ie to browse for available deals and can receive money-off vouchers by either printing them or sending them via free SMS text message to their mobile phones.
