NovaUCD Support to Researchers with regard to Intellectual Property Considerations for Funded Research Projects
NovaUCD provides support to researchers with regard to Intellectual Property (IP) considerations for funded research projects. NovaUCD assists researchers with IP terms and conditions of the research project grant agreement and compliance with the University’s policies and procedures.
NovaUCD supports researchers at the research contract stage of the research project lifecycle.
Activities may include:
- Review of contract or research agreement for Intellectual Property issues
- Assistance with Material Transfer Agreements
- Review of certain warranties required by the funding agency or sponsor relating to Intellectual Property
The following types of grants/contracts are normally reviewed by NovaUCD for IP considerations:
- EU Consortium Agreements
- Enterprise Ireland Awards
- Industry-sponsored Awards
- New sponsor Awards
- Where the award involves industry partners
- Where Material Transfer Agreements are required
