Template Agreements
NovaUCD has a range of model agreements to address different types of bi-lateral and multi-party collaborations with industry and/or academic partners. Examples of different types of bi-lateral collaborations with industry partners are summarised below.
- Model 1 - UCD owns IP, company granted an option to negotiate a non-exclusive, field restricted licence
- Model 2 - UCD owns IP, company granted an option to negotiate a exclusive, field restricted licence
- Model 3 - UCD owns IP, company granted an option to negotiate a mix of exclusive and non-exclusive, field restricted licences
- Model 4 – UCD owns certain IP, company owns certain IP. Company granted an option to negotiate a non-exclusive or exclusive, field restricted licence to UCD IP
- Model 5 – UCD and company jointly own IP. Company granted an option to negotiate a non-exclusive or exclusive, field restricted licence to UCD’s interest in Joint IP
- Model 6 – Company owns IP.
