Report from the Partnership Committee following its meeting held on 28 March 2001

Retirees
Results of a survey conducted across 10 organisations including UCD, for retired members of staff were discussed.

It was agreed that a proposal will be submitted to the Human Resources Policy Committee in regards to the University setting up a retirement information and support service.

It was decided that a  Personnel representative would be invited to give a presentation and question and answer session on pensions at the next meeting.

Health and Safety Developments
Mr Michael Rafter, Safety Officer gave a presentation on health and safety developments.

It was suggested that the new Staff Health Services should be put to the Human Resources Policy Committee as a recommendation of the Partnership Committee.

Skillsnet Partnership Training Needs Analysis
Arising out of the training needs analysis, it was agreed that all Committee Members would submit their three training course preferences prior to March 30.

Representatives from the Committee will attend the formal launch of Skillsnet on Friday, March 30.

It was agreed that all documentation gathered at training events will be held centrally for the Parnership Committee.

Action Points
National Pay Agreement (PPF) to be discussed on the partnership agenda.

Personal Development Programme:   Review pilot project undertaken at the Veterinary College.
