Matters arising from minutes of last meeting
The Chair will endeavour to consult with Professor McQuillan, regarding the pay review committee, prior to the next meeting.

Correspondence
It was agreed that Valerie McKernan will represent the Committee on the HEA Equality Audit.

Skillsnet
The Committee were requested to consult the partnership committee website for a comprehensive update on the Skillsnet programme. Committee members, especially those members representing trade unions, were encouraged to attend the next meeting of Skillsnet, which will take place on Wednesday, 26^th June 2002 at 10:00 in the Green Isle Hotel. Those interested members are requested to inform Michael Flanagan, prior to the event.

Campus Development Plan
Graham Dwyer, Andrzej Wejchert Architects, gave a presentation on the campus development plan.

Car Parking Survey
Donal McDaid, Consultant, gave a presentation on the results of the Car Parking Survey.

Honorary Degrees
It was mentioned that the awarding of honorary degrees to staff members, after 50 years of service, offers little utility value. It was suggested that the Committee discuss alternative retirement awards, which recognise a staff member's contribution to the University through service and excellence. The Chair will discuss further with the Registrar prior to the next meeting.

AOB
Mr Aidan Grannell, Assistant Buildings Officer, read out the Buildings Committee response, dated 28^th May 2002, to a query by the Governing Authority on the feasibility of 'paid parking' at Belfield.

It was mentioned that the Code of Practice for the Employment of People with Disabilities will be launched, on a date to be agreed, in September. All Committee members are requested to attend.

It was agreed that the Partnership Committee Website will be officially launched at the next meeting of the Partnership Committee, scheduled for 19^th September 2002.
