For the 2010/11 academic year, I was Simon Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh’s Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities. I have taught Philosophy and English Literature at the University of Nottingham, the University of St. Andrews and the University of Edinburgh.
Current Research
I am writing my first monograph on Richard Rorty and Stanley Cavell. This book will appear, hopefully, in late 2013. With the University of Edinburgh’s Dr. Andrew Taylor, I’m also co-editing a collection of essays on Cavell and the Idea of America. With UCD’s Professor Maria Baghramian, Dr. Sarin Marchetti and Fergal McHugh, I’m part of the IRC-funded “The American Voice in Philosophy” research team. See www.american-voice.org.
