UCD School of Physics Summer Program
The UCD School of Physics Summer Program is an 8 week program of courses consisting of lectures, tutorials, labs, seminars, workshops, independent research and fieldwork. Your knowledge of physics will be developed, in an atmosphere of discovery and creativity. You will be studying at one of Europe's leading universities. University College Dublin is Ireland's largest and most diverse university.
The key goal of the program is to provide every student with a strong foundation in physics which underpins their education in the biological sciences and medicine. The program provides an electronic text book, printed notes, laboratory manuals, homework sheets and tutorial problems. Both individual and group work is included in the program, as well as timetabled office hours with teaching staff.
Students who successfully complete the program may gain a full year’s equivalent of calculus-based physics in one summer, and students on a waiting list for gateway courses may fulfill many GE requirements.
