Welcome to University College Dublin's Transitions Research Project
This survey is being carried out by Christine O'Farrelly, PhD student in the University College Dublin School of Psychology, under the guidance of Dr. Eilis Hennessy. The purpose of this survey is to develop a broader understanding of children's experiences of transitions to new rooms in early childhood care and education settings.
We are specifically looking for practitioners operating or working in full-day services, that cater for more than one age group in different rooms, to participate in the survey. For example, a service that provides a toddler and a preschool room. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Participation in this survey is entirely optional. The information you provide is completely anonymous, meaning that none of the questions refer to personal information that could identify you or the service you work in. The information you provide will be kept strictly confidential, stored securely, and used only for the purpose of this research project.
The findings of the survey could provide important information on how best to prepare children as they move to new rooms in early childhood care and education settings.
If you have any questions about the survey or if you would like to find out more information about the Transitions research project you can contact Christine by email at christine.ofarrelly@ucd.ie. A full report of the study's findings will be made available for download on the UCD Psychology website at the end of the research project.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
