This conference, which was co-organised by Prof Aidan Moran (School of Psychology) and Dr James Matthews (School of Public Health, Physiotherapy & Population Science) and generously supported by their respective schools, attracted 60 scholars from Psychology, Neuroscience and Sport Science who investigate theoretical and applied aspects of research on mental/motor imagery and action observation processes in sporting and neurorehabilitation settings. Over half of these scholars were international visitors, travelling to UCD from universities and research insitiutes in the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Canada and the USA. During the conference, which was opened by Prof Brian Nolan (Principal, College of Human Sciences), participants took part in two days of oral and poster presentations and attended keynote lectures by two world-renowned experts in the field of mental imagery research - Prof Aymeric Guillot (Univ Claude Bernard, Lyon 1, France) and Prof Craig Hall (Western University, Ontario, Canada).
