UCD GRADUATE WINS PRIZE AT INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF CHILD LANGUAGE CONFERENCE IN AMSTERDAM

Her research on bi-/multilingualism is being supervised by Dr Tina Hickey, from the UCD School of Psychology. The research investigated the development of some of the more complex aspects of the Irish language among children learning Irish in Gaelscoileanna, and is part of Siobhán’s doctoral research which investigates the acquisition of some of the later-acquired aspects of Irish  among children from a range of language backgrounds in the Gaeltacht. The research is funded by COGG, an Chomhairle um Oideachas Gaeltachta agus Gaelscolaíochta.
