Tue, 2 September 14 09:50

Since 1963, nearly 55,000 undergraduate students from more than 1,500 colleges and universities have participated in the Semester at Sea programme. This autumn, students enrolled on the SAS programme will be travelling to 16 countries in Europe, Africa, South America and North America over 108 days while taking classes on the ship.

On the 23rd of September, SAS will be docking at Dublin Port and would like to welcome 10 UCD undergraduate students to spend a day aboard the Semester at Sea ship for a day of classes and activities.

These UCD student ambassadors will partake in a group class on ‘World Cities in Culture, Time and Place’ before splitting up into smaller field labs with other students. Students will need to arrive at 9:45am to go through port security and be on board by 10am. The time of departure is for 9pm after the conclusion of the Dublin pre-port programme.
If you would like to take part in this unique and free event, please e-mail your name, student number and programme of study to jessica.doherty@ucd.ie with ‘Semester at Sea’ as the subject line. The deadline to register your interest is Tuesday, 9th September.
