Mindfulness, Science and Society Conference - Tuesday 19th of July
A one-day Mindfulness, Science and Society Conference takes place on Tuesday 19th of July at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. The conference is a joint venture between the Psycho-Oncology Department at St. Vincent’s University Hospital and the UCD School of Psychology.
The conference will address current issues in mindfulness research and practice focusing on questions such as: how the ethical and safe delivery of mindfulness can be ensured; how mindfulness is best measured and examined in research; and, the role of mindfulness in relation to social issues, such as inequality. The conference is suitable for academics and clinicians alike.
The keynote speaker for the conference is Professor Ruth Baer, who is a Professor of Psychology at the University or Kentucky and current visiting academic at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. Additional expert speakers include: Dr. Tony Bates; Professor Terry Hyland and Dr. Paul D’Alton.

The one day conference costs €65 with a reduced a student/unwaged rate of €45. Payment can only be made on the day of the conference in cash. Early booking is essential as there are a limited number of places available.
