Research

The School of Psychology has a thriving research community actively investigating both basic and applied research problems across a diverse range of topics within psychology.  We arrange our research across three themes: Affective, behavioural and cognitive neuroscience; Group processes and social inclusion; Psychological health well-being and resilience.  However, we also work closely with one another across these themes and within our research labs.  You can read our School’s research strategy here.  We welcome enquiries from prospective students who are interested in registering for graduate research degrees and from anyone interested in taking part in research.  You will find a link for taking part in research if you scroll to the bottom of this page.

Annual Research Day

The breadth and diversity of the School's research is celebrated each year with a one-day conference that brings together faculty, research staff and graduate research students.  The event is named in honour of our former colleague and friend Aidan P. Moran. Click HERE for information on Research Days and to see some key presentations
