The B.A. provides a single subject honours degree (entry via DN519) in Psychology with coverage of the core areas required for accreditation with the Psychology Society of Ireland (PSI), which are biological, developmental, cognitive, social and personality psychology along with extensive course-based and laboratory-based research training culminating in the production of a research project in the final year. Additional courses reflect the broader interests of the Department and cover areas such as history and philosophy, emotion, crime, psychoanalytic theory, bereavement, behaviour and genetics, trauma, sport and exercise psychology, cross-cultural psychology, bullying and aggression, and health psychology.
