WELCOME

Welcome to the home page of the UCD Quality Office. The UCD Quality Office is a management unit within the UCD Office of the Registrar and Vice-President for Academic Affairs.

Under the Universities Act (1997), Irish universities are required to undertake periodic quality review of their constituent units. The primary purpose of the UCD Quality Office is to ensure that UCD meets its statutory obligations and is aligned appropriately with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area. These web pages contain information for staff and students about the quality review process, as well as information on the University Policy for Quality Assurance and good practice identified in Quality Review Reports.

The UCD Quality Office provides advice and assistance to staff and units undertaking quality review, with a view to further developing and maintaining an institutional culture of ongoing quality enhancement in teaching, learning and research.
