Conferring ceremonies are joyous occasions when the University community assembles to honour its new graduates. The conferring of degrees is a ceremony of special significance for the graduates, their families and friends, for the academic staff who have guided the graduates to their degrees, and for the many others who contribute to the life of University College Dublin. The ceremonies are great public occasions for the University, to which we welcome our guests who are visiting our campus, some perhaps for the first time.
On September 1st UCD Quinn School of Business held its annual Graduation Ceremony in O’Reilly Hall, Belfield. Over 600 students graduated from programmes including the Bachelor of Commerce, BComm International, Bachelor of Business and Law, BSc Economics and Finance, the Diploma in Business Studies and the Diploma in the Foundations of Business.
Among the graduates was Ruth O’Neill (pictured below) who was a finalist on TV3’s ‘Total Exposure’.
