On the 25th of February 2010, 400 Law and Business & Law students braved the elements in support of Temple Street Children’s Hospital and the Free Legal Advice Centres (FLAC) as part of Law|B&L Day 2010, collecting money across Dublin throughout the morning. On return to UCD, a schedule of activity packed with comedy debates, slave auctions, five-a-side soccer competitions and more fuelled the frenetic pace of fundraising.
With total charitable contributions in excess of €9,500, the Chairperson and Organising Committee would like to thank all those who contributed and the student volunteers who collected on behalf of these worthy causes. The combined support of the School of Law and UCD Quinn School of Business in promoting and facilitating Law|B&L Day 2010 was invaluable and greatly appreciated. In particular, partnership with Maples and Calder Solicitors (Title Sponsors) proved to be enormously beneficial.

The sustained success of this project in the challenging environment of the last few years is a testament to the students’ hard work and the causes which they support. The School wishes next years’ Organising Committee the very best of luck in continuing this proud tradition.
