If your Home University does not have an Erasmus/Exchange agreement with UCD Quinn School of Business, you can apply to study as an Occasional fee-paying student. As an Occasional student, you may attend UCD Quinn School for the Autumn Semester, the Spring Semester or the full academic year. The modules open to Occasional students are the same as for Exchange/Erasmus students.
Eligibility criteria:
- You must have completed at least two years in a Business discipline at University level
- Have an official qualification in English (for example TOEFL or IELTS, English examinations taken at university level may also be accepted)
- Have a suitable academic reference.
Photocopies of all examination results to date in your Home institution along with your English results and the required reference must be submitted with your application
As an Occasional student, you will not be permitted to register for and obtain any Degree qualification from University College Dublin. You will receive an official examination transcript with the results obtained in each of the business modules you have taken.
Fees
The tuition fees for academic year 2012/2013 are EUR4,900 per semester. This may change from year to year. Unfortunately, UCD doesn't offer any scholarships or any other financial aid to occasional students.
Due to our eLearning environment, all students attending UCD Quinn School of Business, including Exchange/Erasmus/Occasional students, must have a laptop. Students' laptops have to be registered to the UCD network. Further information is provided as part of the application information.
Students may attend for the Autumn Semester, the Spring semester or the full academic year. A range of over fifty modules from our Bachelor of Commerce (Bcomm) are available to choose from. Erasmus/non-EU Exchange/Occasional students can take up a maximum of 30 ECTS credits per semester. Access to particular modules is dependent on places in class and the timetable.

Each year, UCD welcomes hundreds of international students to its campus. UCD Central International Office provides a range of support services and information for all UCD international students.

Unfortunately, as demand very often exceeds the supply of rooms, UCD Quinn School of Business cannot guarantee on campus accommodation for all incoming International Students. Further information is provided as part of the application process.

Online Applications
Accepted students will receive online application instructions by e-mail. Deadline to submit the online application: 31st May 2012 for semester one and full year students and 31st October 2012 for semester two students. Once completed, students will receive a UCD student number.
Business Module Registration Form
The 2012/2013 Business module registration is not yet available. Students will be informed in due course via e-mail of the process to register for their business modules.
Accommodation
Accommodation information will be provided to nominated students by the end of May for semester one and full year students and in October 2012 for semester two students.
