New Internship initiative for our business students

At UCD Quinn School we have just introduced a new initiative which means you can apply for a one year professional internship if you are studying:

This offers first-class business experience with a selection of the best international and Irish companies. It means that you can spend a year acquiring the practical business skills that will enhance your career prospects, as well as getting a world class degree

How many places are there?

We are planning on 50 places each year

How long does it last?

Each internship lasts a year

Will I get paid during it?

It depends on the company; some will pay you, some won’t.

When do I apply?

During the second last year of your degree programme you can apply for a year’s internship. The internship is completed in year 3 and the effect is that a three year programme, such as the BComm, will become a four year degree programme.

What companies are involved?

The companies vary from year to year but currently we have companies such as KPMG, l’Oreal, Skype, Insomnia, eBay and Deloitte involved.

When does it start?

It has started and we will have around 50 students on internships in the coming year.

"The BComm was really broad and varied, and offered me a lot of options, rather than having to confine myself to accountancy or marketing"
