The initial step in the recruitment process is to contact the Internship Manager to discuss available roles, timelines and skills required.
Completed job descriptions must be submitted on our template by mid-January.
All companies participating in the Internship Programme are strongly encouraged to attend the Internship Fair which takes place in the Quinn School at the end of January. The Fair is an extremely valuable opportunity to meet informally with students in advance of the application process.
Following on from the Internship Fair applications are submitted and forwarded to the relevant employer for short-listing, interviewing and selection. Interviews take place during the mid-term break in UCD (mid-March). Phone or Skype interviews can be arranaged for students who are on exchange.
A final list of selected interns should be sent to the Internship Manager by late March. Students receiving more than one offer have the choice of which offer to accept. A final list of acceptances will be sent to the relevant company in April.
Companies who successfully recruit students will be provided with a Guide to Hosting an Intern and will be required to sign the Host Internship Agreement before the internship commences.
The majority of internships commence in September however, in some instances students may be available for an earlier start date.
