Fee Payment Dates 2012/2013

  • Students may pay fees all at once or by semester
  • If you are on a 1 semester programme - all fees must be paid in full, in advance
  • If you are on a 2 semester programme - you may pay your fee by semester i.e. in 2 halves.
  • If you are on a graduate 3 semester programme - you may pay your fee by semester i.e. in thirds
  • Where a student is receiving funding from a third party source, students must pay either a half or a third (whichever is applicable to the programme) of any balance of fees and charges in order to be a registered student of the University.

Late offers/acceptances

  • Fees must be paid within two weeks of receipt of fee payment forms in the case of students who accept late offers of a place in the University

Consequences of incomplete/delayed payment
UCard:

  • You must pay a minimum of the first instalment of your fees, as noted above, to get your UCard or, if you have one already, have it re-validated. You will not have access to the library without a valid UCard. For information about UCard see www.ucd.ie/ucard/

Undergraduates:

  • Continuing undergraduate students whose outstanding debt exceeds the maximum allowed under the undergraduate debt carry-over facility, currently €600, will not be advanced to the next stage of their programme.
  • Access to exam results will be blocked.
  • Access to transcripts etc. will be blocked (with the exception of the certificate of attendance)
  • Where undergraduate's outstanding balance is at or below the threshold set by the debt carry-over facility, currently €600, none of the above applies.
  • Final year students will not be permitted to graduate until all fees and charges, including fines, have been paid.

Graduates:

  • You must pay a minimum of the first instalment of your fee in order to register and get a UCard. Failure to pay the appropriate fees will result in:
    • Access to library will be blocked.
    • Access to exam results will be blocked.
    • Access to transcripts etc. will be blocked (with the exception of the certificate of attendance)
    • Continuing students will not be progressed to the following year of their programme.
    • Final year students will not be permitted to graduate until full fees and, where applicable, fines have been paid.
