Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI)
LATEST NEWS Friday, 23 November 2012
The latest list of grant awarded students from SUSI was received on Thursday, 22 November. This latest listing from SUSI was processed by UCD and was returned to SUSI ahead of their deadline of Monday, 26 November. Students included on this list were emailed to their UCD Connect email account to notify them that their student fees account had been updated. SUSI Grant Students 2012/13 Since 4 October 2012 the UCD Fees and Grants Office has received weekly lists of grant approved students from SUSI (Single Universal Support Ireland) Each week, the list of grant approved students is processed by UCD and returned to SUSI for further processing. This stage of the process is to confirm students’ attendance in UCD in order to facilitate the payment, where applicable, of students’ maintenance payments by SUSI. To date, each of the weekly lists has been processed and returned by UCDin line with SUSI’s processing and payment deadlines. Once SUSI has notified UCD of a student’s grant approval, the UCD Fees and Grants Officeupdates the students’ records and emails the students with an update. If you were recently notified by SUSI that you had been approved for a grant, check your UCD Connect Account regularly for updates. If you have not received an email from UCD it means SUSI has not sent us notification of your grant award. Please note, there is no need for you to contact UCD about your grant application - SUSI will notify UCD if your application is successful. If you do have any queries regarding your grant approval or your grant application, you should contact SUSI directly. Further SUSI lists and dates? SUSI is to continue to forward weekly listings of approved grant students to UCD until Monday 12 December 2012 which is scheduled to be the final list issued before Christmas. We will be regularly updating this webpage with more information when we receive it from SUSI, including future listings dates and payment dates for the new year. Maintenance Payments If eligible for maintenance paymentsSUSI make these payments directly into students’ bank accounts by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). SUSI have notified UCD that there will be five more maintenance payment dates before the end of the year. These dates are: 23 November, 30 November, 7 December, 14 December & 21 December. Students approved for a grant by SUSI between now and the end of the academic year will receive their maintenance payment on one of these dates. These dates have been confirmed by SUSI. If you do have any queries regarding these dates or your maintenance instalments you should contact SUSI directly. For more SUSI information visit www.studentfinance.ie. Is there anything you can do? Make sure you have submitted your SUSI grant application number to UCD. Your student grant application reference number is needed by the UCD Fees and Grants Office to identify if you have applied for a grant from the new single grant authority SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland). If you have not yet submitted your SUSI grant application reference number, this can be submitted through the ‘Your Details’ page in your UCD Online Registration. The SUSI application reference number is a 13 digit code beginning with the letter ‘W’ or ‘S’ (e.g. W000000000001). It is a code generated by SUSI and can be found when you log into the SUSI Online Student Grant Application System on the SUSI Welcome page. The code can be found in the ‘Application History’ section on that page under 'Application Ref'. For more SUSI information visit www.studentfinance.ie General Reference.
