Non-EU students
- Refund cheques, where applicable, to non-EU Students who have obtained entry into Ireland on the basis of a student visa, and who do not take up a place or officially withdraw from the University, are posted to the student's country of origin. Students who travel to Ireland must attach to their refund application a return air ticket with boarding card as proof of return to their home country. An administrative charge of 10% of the programme fee applies and is not refundable
- Refunds to non-EU undergraduate applicants who do not qualify for entry because they have not obtained the minimum entry standard in the final year school examination are subject to a 10% administrative charge.
- No refunds are paid to non-EU undergraduate applicants who have obtained the minimum entry standard in the final year school examination but decide not to take the place previously accepted.
- Refunds to non-EU students who are refused a visa are returned to the student's country of origin. A copy of the refusal letter from the Dept. of Justice, Equality and Law Reform must be attached to the refund application. An administrative charge of 10% of the programme fee applies.
Non-EU Study Abroad Students
- Study Abroad students from UCD partner institutions who accept a place and then do not take it up are eligible for a refund of tuition fees paid. Deposits are non-refundable except in extenuating circumstances.
