Academic Transcript
An Academic Transcript lists your complete academic history: programmes attended, courses studied, overall result at the end of each year examination (1H, 2H1, etc.), the degree and conferring date. A breakdown of marks for each subject can also be provided. There is a fee of €22 for two originals.
Academic Statement
A shorter document known as an Academic Statement confirms the years registered, the final degree result (1H, 2H1, etc.) and the conferring date. There is a fee of €10 for an original and 1 verified copy. You can apply by posting in a completed application form (see below). Applications can also be faxed to 01 716 1284, however applications cannot be taken by phone.
Examination Judgment
The Examination Judgment is a short document listing the exact mark obtained for each subject during each individual exam period (e.g. Summer, Autumn, Spring, etc.). The cost is €10 per period (maximum cost €30).
Certificate of Attendance
A certificate or letter of attendance verifies years registered and in attendance at UCD. A letter of attendance will be issued at the Student Desk upon presentation of a valid student card. Alternatively, you can apply by email and we will post it to you. Common purposes include:
- Visa Application (Garda National Immigration Bureau)
- Grant Application (County Council / BTEA etc)
- Bank Account Application (Verification of address)
- Jury Service Exemption

Forms
A wide variety of forms require a University/Registrar stamp. The Student Desk will stamp forms on the spot if you are a fully registered student. Please remember to bring your student card. Popular forms include:
- Child Benefit
- Social Welfare
- Medical Card Application(contact your Local Health Board)
- Student Travel Card (download application form at www.studenttravelcard.ie and remember to bring 2 passport photos with you)
Grant Collection
You can sign for and collect your maintenance grant cheque at the Student Desk, Tierney Building, Belfield Campus. You must present a valid UCD Student Card. A list of grants available for collection is posted at http://www.ucd.ie/registry/adminservices/fees/maintenance_cheques.htm

Submission of Theses
All masters and PhD theses are handed in to the Student Desk. For information on submitting your thesis (e.g. dates/forms/fees) please click here
Module Registration
The Student Desk provides technical assistance to students registering to modules. If you require academic advice on your choice of modules you should contact your Programme Office. The Student Desk can provide assistance in the following situations:
- If your SIS Student Web account has been disabled
- If you have forgotten to register for a tutorial/practical
SIS Student Web disabled
If you insert your SIS PIN number incorrectly three times your account will automatically be disabled.

Self-service Facilities
SIS Student Web allows you both to view and update your personal details, as you have supplied them to the University e.g. your postal address(es), telephone number(s) etc. To access the system, please click here.
Change of Address
If you wish to change your details on our graduate register please click here to complete the form.
Free Fees
All undergraduate students on free fees should confirm their attendence for semester 1 of the 2009/10 academic year on the SIS .
