Academic Statement
Important notice: From the 21st June 2012, if you began your course of study in UCD from 2006 onwards, were on a modularised programme, and have completed your degree, you can access your Academic Statement online. See our Online Documents section for more information. (All other applicants please see below)
An Academic Statement is a short document that displays the years registered, the degree awarded, your overall grade and conferring date. There is a fee of €10 for two original copies which also includes the cost of postage.
A statement does not give a breakdown of your modules and results, if you require full breakdown of results Academic Transcripts would be better suited to you.
Academic Statements are printed on secure paper with a number of safety features. Please visit document security for more details.
Please complete the form and, if you are paying by credit card please fill in your details on the space provided, and submit it to the Student Desk.
You can submit the form by; (please choose 1 method only)
- Post: Student Desk, Tierney Building, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4, Ireland
- Email: transcripts@ucd.ie (please scan & email as we need your signature)
- Fax: +353 1 7161284
Documents cannot be processed unless a completed application form is received by the Student Desk. We can only accept applications from the student/graduate themselves, and not from a third party
Due to the volume of requests we receive please allow up to 14 working days for your request to be processed. We will endeavour to process the application as soon as possible, but we complete requests in the order in which we receive them. Payment is taken on the day it is received on our system.
Yes, you can call to the Student Desk in person with the signed application form and we can process your request immediately. (Please note this does not apply to pre 2000 students or BA (Evening) students whose Academic Statements must be sent by post). Also please check our opening hours first before calling in.
Academic Statements are sent by standard mail in A4 envelopes once they have been processed. They can be posted to any address you specify. There is no option for express postage unfortunately. Academic Statements are issued in hard-copy only, electronic/soft copies are not possible.
If you wish to collect your Academic Statement rather than have it posted to you that is perfectly acceptable. Please state this on the form in the address section and we will contact you when it is ready. Also you may arrange for someone to collect on your behalf at the Student Desk. However, you must note this on the application form and email us the name of the person who will collect. The person who collects must present I.D. at the Student Desk.
Some Institutions require Academic Statements to be sent directly to them in University sealed envelopes (i.e. for a credentials company or for a college application). If you require this please state this on the form or include a cover note when applying.
