Progression from QQI-FET Agriculture
University College Dublin is the only university offering the Degree of Bachelor of Agricultural Science in the Republic of Ireland and provides excellent teaching, laboratory and research station facilities. The University offers nine internationally recognised BAgrSc degree programmes in the business and science of agriculture and a BSc in Food Science programme. Each of the degree programme options is designed to educate the professionals who will play leading roles in key sectors of the economy.
How do I get in by this route?
Entry to first year is available on a competitive basis to students who have attained the relevant awards with the required modules. The information below is relevant to

What Awards are acceptable?
Pass in the following QQI-FET Level 5 awards with distinctions (80% or better) in a minimum of 5 modules::

What modules are required?
The award must include distinctions (80% or better) in the following modules:
| C20139 or 5N1833 | Mathematics | or | Grade O6/H7 in Leaving Certificate Mathematics |
| 5N2746 | Biology | or | Grade O6/H7 in Leaving Certificate Biology |

What modules are required?
The award must include distinctions in the following modules:

How will I be assessed?
If there are more applicants than places, it will be competitive amongst eligible applicants based on QQI-FET scoring.
