Progression from QQI-FET Social Sciences
Social Sciences students explore society and how people behave as individuals and in groups. You will gain a deep understanding of each subject you choose to study and develop real-world skills in research, communication and leadership. You may additionally apply for an internship, or study abroad for a year or a semester. You will learn to analyse, criticise and challenge beliefs and assumptions - including your own.
How do I get in by this route?
UCD Social Sciences welcomes applications from QQI-FET award holders. You must have a minimum of 5 distinctions to be eligible. If there are more applicants than available places admission will be competitive based on your FET score (see CAO website for details of FET scoring).

Pass in one of the following QQI-FET awards with distinctions (80% or better) in a minimum of 5 modules:

No specific modules are required so long as you have obtained the award with a minimum of 5 distinctions.
How will I be assessed?
If there are more applicants than places, it will be competitive amongst eligible applicants based on QQI-FET scoring.
