UCD School of Medicine and Medical Science offers a Graduate Entry medicine programme with funding from the Higher Education Authority (HEA) for Irish/EU students.
It is expected that there will be 77 places available in 2018.
To be eligible for consideration you must hold, or expect to hold by the July prior to entry, a minimum 2.1 (Second Class Honours, Grade One) result in your first Honours bachelor degree (NFQ Level 8) awarded. The degree can be in any discipline.
Please note that students who qualify to apply for Graduate entry to Medicine will not be eligible to apply through the mature entry route.
Application is made via the Central Applications Office (CAO) to DN401 Graduate Entry Medicine ). The application closing date is 5.15pm on 1st February prior to entry. DN401 is a restricted entry programme, so there is no late application closing date.

These documents must be submitted to CAO – please see Medicine Graduate entry section of CAO website for details of submission dates. Documents received after the submission dates will not be considered.
All previous third level attendances MUST be declared – please see Transfer Regulations.
Applicants who meet the minimum eligibility requirement, compete on the basis of their GAMSAT scores only.
You will need to apply to sit the GAMSAT (Graduate Australian Medical School Admission Test) test. The GAMSAT-Ireland test is held in March each year (24 March 2018).
Registration is by online enrolment and opens in early November preceding the test. Please consult the GAMSAT website for further information.
GAMSAT results have a currency of two years.
If you are presenting GAMSAT UK or GAMSAT Australia results you must provide these to the CAO when submitting your application.
