Admissions is part of UCD Registry. The team has two main areas of responsibility:
Undergraduate AdmissionsAdmissions regulates the intake of undergraduate students through the CAO system and other sources. A large proportion of the workload is the processing of applications (especially those presenting International qualifications and applying via Access routes) and the provision of information regarding eligibility/entry requirements and application procedures for entry to UCD.
We work closely with the Programme Offices, Access Office, International Office the other sections of Registry within UCD. Externally we liaise with CAO, the Admissions Officers in the other Irish Universities, and with NUI (National Universities Ireland) . The Admissions Officer attends a series of meetings with Guidance Counsellors annually
Online ApplicationsThe team is also responsible for administration of the online applications system for postgraduates, international students and other applicants outside the CAO system. For information about postgraduate entry, please visit the UCD Graduate Studies page.
We work closely with the graduate schools and the programme administrators in the various schools in the delivery of this service.
