Liaison with the CAO
The Admissions Officer, Peter Shearer, is UCD's designated liaison person with the CAO and all communication between UCD and the CAO should go via the Admissions Officer.

The CAO is the agent for Higher Education Institutions (HEI) participating in the CAO Application System. These bodies agree annually the application regulations, procedures and timetable. The purpose of the CAO is to process applications centrally and to deal with them in an efficient and fair manner. The HEI's retain the function of making decisions on admissions.
