How many places are there?

There are 15 places, across all the Agriculture programmes/majors for stage 2 and 15 for stage 3.

How will I be assessed?

If there are more applicants than places, it will be competitive based on your academic performance in your Higher Certificate and/or ordinary degree.

How do I apply?

1 July

Apply using the links above. Applications open in early March each year.

The closing date is 1 July. Incomplete applications will not be considered - your application, including application fee, must be submitted by the closing date.

If your result won't be out by the closing date, you should enclose any results already available with a note saying when the final result is expected. Your result must be forwarded ASAP. As applications are assessed soon after the closing date, if you are awaiting results you will only be considered if places remain following initial offers.

If places remain in a course after assessment of applications received by the closing date, late applications may be accepted from 22 August to 1 September. If you are considering transfer before 1 July, don't postpone applying until this date as there may be no places available.

If you are considering a transfer please check the fees implications at www.ucd.ie/fees.

Some programmes will not normally consider applicants who have been unsuccessful in a similar programme - full details are on the restrictions page.

The above is summary information only. Full regulations are included in the transfer protocol.

All offers of a place are subject to UCD's Terms and Conditions of Offer.
All students must comply with the general regulations of the university
