You need to be a UCD student (current or previous) and have all of the following
|All the subject entry requirements for the course. If you didn't have these in your school-leaving exams, it may be possible to meet them from your university examinations.
|The Leaving Certificate points required for the course (or equivalent admission requirements such as FETAC).
|Have passed 20 credits including sufficient modules and grades relevant to the course you want to enter.
The number of places is very small and is dependent on the numbers who have left during stage 1. For many programmes there will be no available places.
Usually there are more applicants than available places. Admission is competitive and there is no guarantee that any application will be successful.
If you are eligible you will be assessed on the basis of the compatibility of your modules and overall academic performance in UCD. The assessment may also include your school-leaving results or other relevant criteria.
Open the list of courses with places available (not all courses will open) and use the link beside the appropriate course.
The closing date is 1 December. Incomplete applications will not be considered - your application, including application fee, must be submitted by the closing date.
|If places remain in a course after assessment of applications received by the closing date, late applications may be accepted from 5-9 January. If you are considering transfer before 1 December, don't postpone applying until this date as there may be no places available.|
If you are considering a transfer please check the fees implications at www.ucd.ie/fees.
Some programmes will not normally consider applicants who have been unsuccessful in a similar programme - full details are on the restrictions page.
The above is summary information only. Full regulations are included in the transfer protocol.
All offers of a place are subject to UCD's Terms and Conditions of Offer.
All students must comply with the general regulations of the university
