Who is eligible to invigilate at UCD examinations?
UCD staff or UCD postgraduate students (who are not sitting examinations in the current academic year) may apply to invigilate at UCD. Due to the large volume of applications received, we cannot guarantee that all applications will be successful.
When is the next invigilation session ?
Invigilators will be required for the Semester 2 examinations 2011/2012. These examinations will take place from Monday, 30 April until Saturday, 12 May 2012 (including Saturday, 5 May). There will be no examinations on Bank Holiday Monday, 7 May.

When will I hear if my application has been successful?
Successful candidates will receive, no later than Friday, 13 April 2012, notification by email of the invigilation sessions assigned to them. If you are allocated hours, you must be available to attend the training session on Monday, 23 April 2012.
What if my application is unsuccessful?
We will endeavour to advise all unsuccessful applicants, by email, as quickly as possible.
Will there be any training provided for new invigilators?
Successful applicants will be invited to attend a briefing session for invigilators on Monday, 23 April 2012. Attendance at briefing sessions is compulsory.
I need to cancel invigilation sessions assigned to me what should I do?
You need to contact the Invigilation Team immediately, email
invigilation@ucd.ie or telephone 01 716 1689/1421. Please note, if for any reason you cancel any hours assigned to you, all of your hours may be revoked and allocated to another invigilator.
What is the rate of pay for Invigilation work?
The rate of pay for standard invigilation work is €13.67 per hour
How will I be paid?
You will be paid directly into your bank account. A new employee set up form requesting your bank account details must be completed by all new invigilators who have been allocated invigilation work. This form is available to download online at

Do I need to complete a claim form?
When will I be paid?
Where possible, completed claims received by the fifth day of the month will be processed for payment on the last working day of the month.
