Who is the Transfer Protocol relevant to?
Undergraduate applicants who have previously attended third level are covered by the Transfer Policy
If they wish to apply for admission to first year of a new course, they apply via CAO (with the exception of start of stage 1 transfers). They must declare their previous third level. Certain restrictions may apply.
If they are seeking advanced standing they apply direct to UCD. Closing dates and procedures are available on the main transfer page.
Non-EU applicants apply via UCD Global, regardless of which year they are seeking to enter. If admitted they may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning.
This page is intended for staff and covers the process between the Programme Areas and Admissions.
