University College Dublin invites applications for a Newman Postdoctoral Fellowship in Nephrology which will be hosted by the RDRG. The Fellowship is established with the generous support of Baxter Healthcare Limited. May 2013—Invited Presentation— HESI/OECD

Dr. Slattery gave an Invited presentation on our Carcinogenomics research at the Health and Environmental Sciences Institute (HESI) Workshop on "Human Cancer Risk Assessment in the Genomics Era" at the OECD, Paris.



May 2013—Conference Presentations—Irish Nephrology Society

Jennifer Slyne and Bernadette McEvoy delivered oral presentations at the Annual Irish Nephrology Society Meeting in Dublin.



March 2013—Conference Presentations—ERCSG Oxford

Dr. McMorrow and Dr. Slattery delivered oral presentations at the 25th Annual European Renal Cell Study Group Meeting in Oxford, United Kingdom.



February 2013—New Research Project Funding—SFI

Dr. McMorrow has been awarded research funding by Science Foundation Ireland under the Investigator Programme Funding scheme to investigate the molecular mechanisms of cilia loss in epithelial cells. The project is funded for 4 years at a value of €245,800.



January 2013—  SysKid Workshop in Vienna

Prof. Ryan, Dr. McMorrow, Dr. Slattery and Jennifer Slyne attended the SysKid Consortium annual meeting on behalf of the UCD-RDRG.  The focus of the workshop was “In vitro and in vivo models at the interface to human diabetic nephropathy”.
