The 2011 UCD Images of Research Competition is now closed to entries.
The competition aims to find the most compelling research images from across the entire University. For the past five years, the competition has offered UCD researchers the opportunity to submit compelling digital images created in the course of their research, or related to it. We now hold a repository of over 1500 innovative and imaginative images illustrating the depth and range of research taking place at UCD.
This year the competition will have a greater emphasis on digital a means of communicating research from UCD. The annual online exhibition will be supplemented with wider dissemination approaches including the incorporation of moving images. A digital video option in the Expertise Profiles will give researchers an opportunity to communicate their research in a different and immediate way. Details of this competition strand will follow shortly.
The judging process will be ongoing over the summer. Long- and shortlisted entrants will be notified by email of next steps when those details are available.
