Prof Petra Ahrweiler joins the National Institute of Technology Management
Professor Petra Ahrweiler has joined the National Institute of Technology Management (NITM) at UCD School of Business as Professor of Innovation and Technology Management where she will be responsible for the establishment of a research programme on science, technology and innovation policy as well as supervising PhD students.
Prof Ahrweiler previously worked at the Research Centre in the University of Hamburg, where she was vice-head from 2002-2007. Before that she worked as a Scientific Coordinator at the Institute for Science and Technology Studies, University of Bielefeld.
She has gained significant external funding awards from her involvement in various EU projects on science and technology policy research. At present, Prof Ahrweiler is on the management board for the EU-funded research project, Network Models, Governance, and R&D Collaboration Networks (NEMO).
Professor Petra Ahrweiler is a PhD Science and Technology Studies graduate of Free University Berlin.
