The Institute is named in honour of the politician and Nobel Laureate John Hume. Current staffing includes the Institute Director, Dr Brian Jackson, and four associated Principal Investigators, together with four additional research staff, five funded postdoctoral research staff and six PhD students. A further six PhD students are currently being recruited.
The Institute’s academic research programme is funded under Cycle 4 of the Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions.
